Sarah Beers

My name is Sarsh Beers and I am from a small village in County Down in Northern Ireland. My grandparents founded our stud nearly 30 years ago initially starting with driving ponies and then diversified to welsh ponies breeding section A's,C's,D's and part breds. My first pony was Erbach Lyn a black welsh section C given to me by my grandmother when I was six years old,he was completely home produced and broken by us and we enjoyed many years of sucess.

We have been good friends with Rhydgwilliam stud since our stud began as our foundation mares(which we still ahve)came from the stud.It was here where my love and passion for mountain ponies began!I loved it there with beautiful ponies roming the welsh hills and was very lucky to show ponies for the stud during visits which also started my showing bug.Towards the end 2009 I  was given my beloved Rhydgwilliam Cockatoo to show and we have been very lucky and have had great sucess together since thensomething I hope continues.Cockatoo is everything I love in a welsh pony and he has the most superb temperament .With my continuing studies training as a veterinary nurse it is difficult to dedicate my time fully to the ponies but I have used the time to introduce new blldlines to the stud through breeding and purchasing and I am very excited for the future with some lovely ponies coming up the ranks.

2015 has started well attending training shows with our yearling colts who have had alot of sucess bringing home the ribbons. One of our two year old colts has passed his license and the show season is begining.....so alot to look forward to.My 14 year old sister has also started showing in hand and ridden and attended her first show with my Erbach Lyn and he looked after her so well, its great to see the next generation getting involved and Lyn is still enjoying showing despite being 16 years old now.

I am delighted to have the support of Galloping Geldings for 2015.We have all worked hard with the ponies and I am delighted our efforts have been acknowledged and appreciated.I choose to apply to Galloping Geldings for sponsorship as they had showed real team feel when enquiring for products and showing items and were very welcoming.Being family run it also coincides with our own stud values ,so I think we will work well together.x
