Alice Kitchling

Where to start !

My name is Alice and I have the most wonderful horse......Thornhill Sam a 17hh big friendly giant !

I purchased Sam in November he's previously competed in Ireland up to 1.30m level so he's a great schoolmaster to teach me the ropes round the bigger tracks. We have already achieved many double clears together and our best being our most recent ,won last weekend. I have high hopes for our future ! This year I hope to qualify Scope and amateur finals. My ultimate goal is to qualify HOY'S in the bronze league final.

Prior to getting Sam I have been fortunate to have many other good horses and ponies including Caniki w a 15.2 warmblood mare who I competed up to a 1.10 m level on and the most fabulous and ultra consistent pony Murthwaite big blue who I have enjoyed 3 incredible years on competing all over the country.

I am super excited about being sponsored by Galloping Geldings and can't wait to show off their product's

Well what a busy few months we have had !We started off by qulifying amateur second rounds , that was one thing ticked off my list.!!

We then picked up several double clears and placings in the 1m opens before heading down to Hickstead for a few days where I had a great show and finished off with coming 13th in the Derby out of over 150.It was a great experience and Sam is so brave and bold ,he gave me so much confidence and jumped a great round for me.!

This weekend we went to Felbridge our local show where once again Sam felt awesome and jumped round clear but a slight sat nav error cost us 4 faults for circling when I forgot the course!.But that's show jumping for you.!!

We have been busy at the yard with lots of new liveries coming we are now full up with almost 50 horses and alot of them joining us out at the shows which is great.

My main aims now are to step Sam up to newcomers(1.10/1.20) level and to hopefully qualify for the amateur finals! Hope everyone has been busy enjoying their ponies because that's what it's all about!!
